Nizhniy Novgorod Ropeway (Нижегородская канатная дорога)

Nizhniy Novgorod Ropeway put in operation in 2012; it purposes for the fast connection between Nizhniy Novgorod and Bor town on the other shore of Volga River. The ropeway cuts time for citizens of both localities: the one-way trip takes about 15 minutes as the trip by car covers the distance of about 25 km and takes 30 minutes at the least.

Nizhniy Novgorod Ropeway has the largest unsupported span in Europe – 861 m.

The ropeway is of interest of tourists, the journey length of 3,6 km allows looking at the Volga River, Pechersky Ascension Monastery and riversides.

Open hours and price

Monday – Thursday from 6.45 to 21.00

Monday, and Thursday from 10.45 to 13.00 the ropeway is out of service.

Friday, Saturday from 6.45 to 22.00

Sunday and holidays from 9.00 to 22.00

One way ticket 100 rubles

Round-trip ticket 200 rubles
