Yekaterinburg History Museum (Музей истории Екатеринбурга)

The Yekaterinburg History Museum was founded in 1995 on the base of the house-museum of the revolutionary figure Y.M. Sverdlov, whose name was given to Yekaterinburg city from 1924 to 1991.

The Museum collection consists of several sections. The archeological part presents the artifacts of the XVII-III centuries B.C.

The exhibition “The Heaven Code of Yekaterinburg. The Clue” describes the stages of urban development using modern technologies and multimedia – the process of changes of outlines of the city, its streets, and buildings, life in the factories.

The film “3D History” shows events of XVIII-XIX centuries in Yekaterinburg, the industry formation and urban environment around the factories.

The Museum holds the temporary exhibitions and events, in the summertime – the sight-seeing tours.

The Yekaterinburg History Museum is placed in the building of 1837 which was reconstructed in 2004-2005. The Museum is one of the most innovative and technically equipped museums in Yekaterinburg.

Monday, Friday from 11 to 20 (ticket office till 19)

Tuesday-Thursday, Saturday, Sunday – from 11 to 18 (ticket office  till 17)
