Kamchatka Regional United Museum (Камчатский краевой объединенный музей)

The Kamchatka Regional United Museum founded in 1911 presents the Kamchatka peninsula in different fields. The Museum collection consists of more than 120 thousand exhibits of archeology, ethnography, history, culture, and nature.

The natural-science section contains the results of the researches of Kamchatka peninsula, adjacent seas, and the Pacific Ocean – the rocks, geological and paleontological items, flora and fauna.

The historical section presents the Kamchatka Krai discovery, the join into Russian state, and the great explorations. Among exhibits, there are early printed books, photographs from the XIX century, the periodicals, and the other documents.

The ethnographical section shows the artifacts of the Kamchatka indigenous people – the Itelmes, Koryaks, Aleutians, and Evens. The art section with the works of the native people has completed the vision of the Kamchatka region.
