Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts (Волгоградский музей изобразительных искусств)

Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts is placed on the first floor of the modern multistory building. The Museum was founded in 1960, on the base of the arts handed over from Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), Hermitage (St Petersburg) and other major museums of USSR.

During the times the Museum collection was extended, the holdings of a museum contain about 7000 items of paintings, graphic arts, and sculpture. In 2010 the Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts was named after Volgograd artist I.I. Mashkov.

Permanent exhibition presents the works of the Russian artists of the XX century –Moiseenko, Petrov-Vodkin, Popkov, Neizvestny, Belyutin, and others; landscape paintings of the Russian artists of XIX-XX centuries; and the several works of Russian and European arts of XVII-XVIII centuries.
